in this class from Janet Perry of
Napa Needlepoint. You'll make three different
accessories, each showcasing a different aspect of Blackwork.
- The round luggage tag will show different basic Blackwork
patterns.
- The photo album will have different Blackwork borders.
- The checkbook cover will teach shading in Blackwork.
All three projects are stitched in silk or perle cotton on 14 count Aida
(those wishing to try Blackwork on needlepoint canvas can do so). You

Janet Perry of
Napa Needlepoint taught the first
Counted Wishes Cyberclass Feb. 1-5, 2010. Here Janet describes this beautiful Birthday
Plaid Wallet Insert: "Learn how to make a unique cross stitch or
needlepoint plaid based on any name or number. Most typically used
as "personal plaids," in this class you will learn how to convert
names to numbers, how to pick and organize colors for the plaid, and
how to stitch the plaid.
Starting from marking the canvas and ending with finishing the
wallet, at the end of this three-lesson class, you will have a

In addition to the class materials, all participants received a copy
of Janet's popular Birthday Plaid mini-sock project pack.
